    Mind Of A Suspicious Kind

Mind Of A Suspicious Kind is a movie blog I created in the fall of 2008. It includes reviews of important and recent films playing in theatres and a retrospective of older films that have shaped my way of seeing cinema. The reviews are short yet incisively detailed.

Mind Of A Suspicious Kind stillSince I was 13, I’ve has compiled Top Ten Lists from 1983-2010. The lists from all 27 of these years is available on the bottom right hand side of the screen.

Readership has only grown since the site’s inception in 2008, and will continue to do so in the years ahead.

Cinema has long been an incredible passion for me. I see it as an art that can transform or move you in the deepest ways imaginable. As I’ve grown older, I’ve managed to find more interest in much riskier, foreign fare – films that break the rules and re-write the way a story can be told.

I update the site whenever possible – a minimum twice a week. It is updated with thoughts on films that have been on my mind in recent days, or new releases that are well worth writing about (for good or bad).

I find the site to be vastly different than many of the other cinema ones in the Blogosphere, in that the reviews are short, concise and trust the readers’ intelligence. There’s not much plot recap but more my feelings of the film and the way it made me react.

My proudest moment so far has been helping out such friends as Sasha Stone over at Awards Daily in their own ventures on the web, and writing for such newspapers as The Link and The Concordian. I can only see my venture in film writing progressing along as I gain more experience from it in the months and years ahead.
