Thai Horror The Victim Gets UK DVD Release
Like crime thrillers and horror movies? Wish the two would one day combine to form the ultimate crime-thriller-horror-movie for your viewing pleasure? Well, you’re in luck, as Monthon Arayangkoon’s Thai horror The Victim finally gets a UK DVD release on August 6th 2012 courtesy of MVM Entertainment.
The film revolves around a young actress, Ting (Pitchanart Sakakorn), who lands a job starring in crime-scene re-enactments for the Thai media and police forces. However, when her dream role comes up and she is given the chance to play a former Miss Thailand beauty contestant and actress who was possibly murdered by her own husband, things take a decidedly sinister turn for the worse. By taking matters into her own hands Ting exposes herself to supernatural forces she has no hope of comprehending, leading to typically terrifying results and plot developments that will leave viewers reeling.
Interestingly, many of the locations used in the film are the actual locations of famous crimes, murders and sinister goings on in Thailand itself, adding a gloss of undeniably unsettling authenticity to The Victim. Reports of on-set ghostly phenomena and supernatural happenings abound, with some crew members even claiming full-on sightings of the paranormal.
If all this is whetting your appetite for things that go bump in the night, you can watch the trailer below in anticipation of the film’s release.
