“Play Poland Film Festival is a unique event that promotes Polish cinema abroad,” comments Mateusz Jarza, the festival’s chairman and director of Polish Art Europe, the non-profit organisation which promotes Polish culture and art in the UK. “While organising the festival we had an ambition to show new and positive trends in the Polish cinema industry and we want to be as successful as we were last year. It is important for us to promote Polish producers and film schools through this festival as well.”

In the UK, the festival events will be held in cities such as Edinburgh, Glasgow, Liverpool, Birmingham, Oxford and London, with screenings of comedies, student films, animation and experimental documentaries.

The highlight of the festival programme will be a cycle of exhibitions of Polish film posters. Audiences will have an opportunity to see work from the artists of the Polish School of Posters as well as Polish posters created for American movies.

Programme information, screening locations and ticket availability can be found on the festival’s official website and Facebook page.
