International Trailer Released For Taken 2

Twentieth Century Fox have released a new international trailer and a selection of stills from Taken 2, to be released worldwide in October.

A year after slaughtering his way through Paris’s Albanian mafia to retrieve his teenage daughter from human traffickers, retired CIA operative Bryan Mills and his ex-wife Lenore are abducted while on holiday in Istanbul. Gangster Murad Hoxha, the father of Marko, the kidnapper Mills tortured and electrocuted to death, has sworn vengeance on the man who killed his son. Cut off from his resources and contacts, Mills must rely on his daughter Kim to help them escape.

Taken 2 will star Liam Neeson (The Dark Knight Rises, The Grey, Unknown), Maggie Grace (Lockout, Lost), Famke Janssen (X-Men, GoldenEye) and Rade Šerbedžija (Snatch, 24). With Luc Besson returning for scriptwriting and production duties, and direction by Olivier Megaton, whose previous films include the Besson-scripted Transporter 3 and Colombiana, we can likely expect the same level of intensity and frenetic action that marked the original’s popularity.
