Artificial Eye Announce More Home Video Titles For August
World cinema distributor Artificial Eye have announced two more titles that will be released in August: Florin Serban’s debut feature If I Want To Whistle I Whistle and Alexander Sokurov’s Faust.

Faust (2011): Sokurov's daring re-interpretation of Goethe's classic tale was a major festival success.
If I Want To Whistler I Whistle won the prestigious Silver Bear award at the 2010 Berlin Film Festival. It is a tense prison drama centred around Silviu (George Pistereanu), an inmate in a juvenile detention centre, who is days away from release. Silviu discovers that his young brother, whom he has raised like a son, is to be taken abroad by their estranged mother. Silviu’s desire for a beautiful social worker only adds to his confusion and, with time running out, his emotions begin to boil over.
Likewise, Sokurov’s daring re-interpretation of Goethe’s classic tale, Faust, was also a major festival success, picking up the Golden Lion award at last year’s Venice Film Festival. Dr. Faust is a restless scholar, bored and disgusted by the filthy, mundane and money-driven society he inhabits. But after meeting a mysterious moneylender and a beautiful young girl his fate is irrevocably altered, sending him on a spiralling path of lust, greed and the will to power.
If I Want To Whistle I Whistle and Faust will be released on DVD on 20th August 2012. The latter will also be available on Blu-ray.
